BMV-710H Smart High Voltage Battery Monitor (60-385VDC)

The BMV-710H Smart has Bluetooth built-in and can connect wirelessly to your phone (or tablet) via the VictronConnect App to conveniently read out all monitored battery parameters, like state of charge, time to go, historical information and much more.

This battery monitor can calculate the state of charge of a battery and keep track of the ampere hours consumed from the battery by integrating the current flowing in or out of the battery.

For high-voltage applications, the 500 A/50 mV shunt is housed in a special enclosure.

Battery fuel gauge and time-to-go indicator

The remaining battery capacity depends on the ampere-hours consumed, discharge current, temperature and the age of the battery. Complex software algorithms take these variables into account.

In addition to voltage, current and ampere-hours consumed, the monitor displays the state of charge, time to go and power consumption in watts.

Bluetooth Smart

Use the built-in Bluetooth connection to monitor and configure the battery monitor with VictronConnect on Android smartphones and tablets, Apple iPhone and iPad, and macOS computers, including MacBooks. No Bluetooth Smart dongle is required. Windows connects through the optional VE.Direct to USB interface; Bluetooth is not supported on Windows.

Installation

The shunt connects to the monitor with the supplied standard RJ12 telephone cable. Battery and load connections are made at the enclosed shunt; the relay and VE.Direct connectors are on the head unit. In the standard wiring arrangement, connect the battery negative to the BATTERY side of the shunt and all load and charger negatives to the LOAD side. Connections that bypass the shunt are excluded from the current and state-of-charge measurements.

Programming

A quick installation menu and a detailed setup menu with scrolling text guide you through the settings. Alternatively, configure the monitor using the VictronConnect app and its built-in Bluetooth connection.
