LANGY ES04 Series Solar Street Lights

The ES04 series combines a solar panel, LED light source and rechargeable battery in an all-in-one outdoor light. The manufacturer lists outdoor applications including driveways, paths, roofs, yards, farms and countryside locations. Select the model and pack option for your installation; the technical figures below describe an individual light, not a package total.

Lighting and remote-control modes

The lights provide light, time, remote and motion-control functions. Press the ON button on the lamp before operating the remote. The manual identifies Radar Mode 2 as the default setting and describes these controls:

• On/off: turn the light on or off.
• Timed lighting: keep the light on for three hours or six hours, then turn it off.
• All-night lighting: use the AUTO setting to keep the light on through the night.
• Stay-on brightness: select 25%, 50% or 100% brightness in stay-on mode.
• Radar Mode 1: use 100% brightness when motion is detected and turn the light off when no motion is detected.
• Radar Mode 2: use 100% brightness when motion is detected and 30% brightness when no motion is detected. The manual's dimming illustration shows a return to 30% brightness after 20 seconds without motion.
• Four-hour transition: switch to Radar Mode 1 after four hours of stay-on lighting.

The manual notes that reducing brightness can extend lighting time. Remote controls may be updated without notice; use the supplied remote as the reference.

Charging and installation

• Before first use: charge the light in full sunlight for 6–8 hours, as directed in the user manual.
• Specification charging reference: the ES04 specification lists a full charge with 6–7 hours of sunshine. This is separate from the manual's first-use instruction.
• If the battery is not fully charged: the manual directs users to keep the solar panel clean and allow charging in full sunlight for 8–12 hours.
• Position the solar panel toward the sun. Test the proposed height and spacing before installation, and follow the model-specific installation references in the Specifications section.
• Inspect the package contents for visible damage before installation. The manual illustrates wall mounting with wall-insert bolts and pole mounting with long bolts and a black plate.
• Check for hidden utility lines before drilling or driving screws. Secure the bracket, adjust the lamp angle and tighten all connections and mounting hardware.

Safety and care

• Lithium batteries store substantial energy and may vent, catch fire or explode if mistreated. Keep the battery compartment and battery dry.
• Do not open, drop, short-circuit, puncture or incinerate the battery. Do not expose it to temperatures above 60°C, and do not use or charge a damaged battery.
• The manual identifies the light source and battery as non-replaceable. When either reaches the end of its life, replace the complete light fixture as instructed.
• Use only identical replacement parts and accessories. The manual states that using other parts voids the warranty.
• Keep the installation area clean and well lit. Inspect assembled parts and hardware after assembly, and keep connections tight.
• Keep children away during installation and mount the light, solar panel and any cord out of children's reach.
• Wear protective, electrically non-conductive clothing and non-slip footwear. Maintain secure footing and balance; have an assistant hold a ladder when one is used.
• Do not install the light while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read applicable medication warnings and follow all safety instructions in the manual.

Model-specific data from the ES04 specification

The specification ranges and the manual's installation limits are separate manufacturer references. They are retained in their original units and contexts.

Shared specification data

The ES04 specification describes 32650 lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) batteries and states a cycle life of up to 500 cycles. The user manual gives a normal battery-life expectation of five to eight years. These manufacturer expectations are separate from the one-year warranty; neither document supplies the usage frequency or test conditions for those expectations.

The specification does not state a brightness setting or test conditions for its 1–2-day discharge figure.
