The EG4 GridBOSS MID simplifies your Energy Storage System (ESS) by consolidating up to 10 components into a single, powerful unit. Designed to seamlessly connect utilities, generators, inverters, and loads, it offers centralized control, easy installation, and real-time remote monitoring.

• One-Point ESS Control: Connect and manage utility, inverters, generator, and loads from a single device.
• Reduced Complexity: Consolidates interconnection and management functions in one unit; the required breakers must be selected and installed separately as specified below.

• 200A Service Entrance (United States): Rated 22kAIC when installed with the required 200A Eaton CSR2200N (CSR25K) main breaker and utility meter configuration. The main breaker must be purchased separately.
• Real-Time Monitoring: Access and adjust settings remotely via the EG4 app or monitoring system website.
• Configurable Breakers: Supports one generator up to 125A, three hybrid inverter ports rated up to 90A each with properly sized breakers, and four smart ports with the individual limits below.

Manufacturer compliance information lists UL1741, UL67, and UL869A under the documented model and installation conditions. UL869A service-entrance use is limited to the United States with a 200A Eaton CSR2200N (CSR25K) main breaker.

Important EG4 GridBOSS Breaker Information

Please Note:

• You must purchase a 90A Breaker separately for use with the EG4 FlexBoss21 Hybrid Inverter.
• You must purchase a 50A Breaker separately for use with the EG4 12kPV Hybrid Inverter.
• Use a 70A breaker for the EG4 18kPV or FlexBOSS18. Third-party inverters are not supported on the hybrid ports.
• The v3.1 configuration excludes the configurable breakers. The manual lists the backup and manual-bypass 200A breakers as preinstalled and non-changeable.
• A 125A breaker (sold separately) may be used at Smart Port 1 or the generator port, with the supported breaker type specified in the manual.
• 200A main breaker not included (must be purchased separately; model required: Eaton 200A CSR25K. See manual for more information). 

Notice: Use copper wire for connections to BSB breakers; the manual warns that non-copper wire at those breakers can damage equipment. The manual permits aluminum wire at lug connections and Eaton breakers. Follow the supported wire, breaker, and installation requirements for the exact configuration.
